You can try your hand at traditional pottery, craft your own bamboo flutes, or experience natural fabric dyeing. To eat it like a local, do not just eat the kimchi on the side; take a generous spoonful of the spicy, tangy Kkakdugi juice and pour it straight into your hot Gukbap to season and cool down the broth perfectly! Make sure to mix the rice completely into the soup so every single grain absorbs that rich, deep flavor.
Next, you have to try Haemul Pajeon (seafood green onion pancake) paired with traditional Dongdongju (rice wine). Instead of cutting the pancake into neat squares with a knife, use your chopsticks to tear it apart roughly along the long green onions—it honestly tastes so much better this way!
